"Books" is painted with oils on panel board June 2005, 14" by 11" with me and some dang root beer.

Hi, born 1950, authored and co-illustrated "Edible Wild Plants of Michigan" and paints with oils, draws with ink, enjoys digital and computer generated art. Please visit my website at www.surrealcity.com and feel free to send your comments or questions. I have been strongly influenced by surrealism with its normal appearance being contradicted by some parts that don't belong there or are impossible in reality, kind of like dreams that often seems real but then some things don't make sense, since that seems to be what real life is like to me....

Profile I appreciate it.
Profile Thanks for those thoughts. Sometimes an oil painting is like a game of chess that requires thinking ahead about 6 or 7 moves and not focusing on only one area of the board. So I really appreciate those thoughts because I wasnt thinking about those areas before or at least I wasnt giving those areas...
Profile like this whimsical piece a lot. I wish the table top were a different value and/or color than the cabinets. I think the geometrical design is good otherwise, especially where you use a directional line with the toaster cord and sink edge leading me back in.
