whatever motivates you to create art, your reasons are not mine. whatever me motivate, the reasons are not yours. there are as many individual reasons as artists have had exist, still exist and will exist in future.
me, I need to express from an inner point of view, you may prefer an external. you may only see the bright side of life, I need to include the dark.
maybe you are a lucky guy, who lives without pain and sorrows - how very wonderful for you!
well, for me there were - and probably would be again - times of suffering and pain. In my experience it can't be sunday or christmas every day.
sometimes I feel such a lot of anxiety and fear inside. at such moments I can't paint happy hours flowers. not really comfortable, not really horrible, if done on a paper or canvas.
some people fear images with disturbing themes so much, that they want to ban them from fine art. you can find a lot of useless efforts to 'clean' art in human history. you can't ban death from life - and I can't and won't censor, whatever will be born by my imagination!
as always the colors of this image are telling the whole story. you are invited to look away or deep inside. Doris B. Lambling
