As with many of my pieces the finish is a result of adding and removing pigment and glazes.. , painting is on a canvas sheet mounted on board and in a 3.5in. gold frame and 2in. blk.matte.(the matte in this picture is temporary and will be upgraded) It is finished with a polymer varnish. ready to hang. The overriding motivation when I paint is the play of form and color. No matter what the preconception, once the pigment merges with a ground, I am rarely in charge. I happily surrender to a higher direction.
