David Storey is a landscape artist specializing in views of the English Lake District. He studied Fine Art at Coventry University, graduating with first class honours in 1989 before completing his studies with a Masters Degree from the Royal College of Art, London. He was Artist in residence and visiting tutor to several schools and colleges in the Merseyside area before devoting his time painting in 1996. Since then he has worked consistently in the Lake District and Snowdonia, developing an interest n the effects of light and atmosphere on the landscape, paying particular attention to certain times of the day, notably late afternoon or evening. He has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions in London, Manchester, Liverpool and Oxford. In 1992 he won the John Minton Painting Scholarship to Barcelona
