Taken from Fabrizio's latest collection of modern contemporary abstract paintings for 2009. Fabrizio's current artwork is inspired by the Cornish coastline, painted in acrylic and designer gouache watercolours applied direct to the canvas. Fabrizio's distinctive style on deep edge canvas panels makes his artwork both unique and attractive in any modern surroundings. The painting carried out in lilac is titled 'Light Of Heaven' which would suggest the artist's personal beliefs in light is better than darkness. As with all of Fabrizio's work the paintings comes complete signed, dated and certified on the reverse.
Fabrizio Van Marciano, born 28th December 1976 on the small island of Mauritius. Fabrizio's love for the ocean has inspired him to paint seascapes in the popular style that so many of us has come to know. Having lived by the ocean all his life, and never deems to rest upon gazing out into the rugged Cornish surf, before finding the inspiration to create something both unique and dazzling on the canvas at his home studio in North Cornwall. He began painting during his early teens, to pass long summer holidays off school. He finally decided to take his painting one step further in the fall of 2003, giving up his full time job as a salesman to concentrate on his art career. Working his hands with oils Fabrizio adapted to the wet on wet style blending colours accordingly. His much earlier works were of large oil paintings of tropical sandy beaches, palm trees, distant islands primarily using blue and white. These were his most popular at the time. Fabrizio felt unsettled with the medium and after sometime researching, he eventually found a happy medium with the use of acrylics and other water based colours, mixed directly onto the canvas. He launched his website vanmarcianoart.comin 2004, and four years later he has sold in excess of over 1,500 original paintings worldwide from London to San Francisco. With collectors in New York, Paris, Glasgow, Toronto to name a few.Today Fabrizio is regarded as one of the UK's most expressive seascape artists, with explosive colours that will bring any room of any shade to life.
