Considering turbulent times we live in, I consider it impossible to remain isolated and completely uninvolved.
Although I started from the context of the current issues and socio-political conflicts, I tried to avoid the being entrapped by the limitations of the Time and Place and to make my work universally understandable, avoiding symbolism that is specific and characteristic to us and our setting.
I articulated this accumulated dissatisfaction caused by the constantly looming uncertainty through the concept of the SYSTEM, with the emphasis on the final result. While in practice we find the noble idea of a harmonious unity serves the universal purpose corrupt and contradictory, the System, with all its imperfections, has to exist and cannot be defeated. It is in the fact that these absurd circumstances are not characteristic to Here and Now that I found the opportunity to make my work universal.
By stressing this feeling of claustrophobia and complete loss of identity through direct contrasts (black and white, light and darkness, open and closed, clean and dirty, full and empty) and open conflicts (true and false), I attempt to demonstrate this quality of personal dread and emphasize the daily anxiety. Delusion of third dimension on paper, impossible and incorrect frameworks and schemes, vain combinatory and glitch boxes symbolically represent mentioned problem.
This is printmaking work of art, executed through combination of colography and lino cut. Dimensions of work are 50x50 cm (19.7x19.7inch).
