This image was originally taken with a digital camera in the evening while walking down to the beach
in Avalon, New Jersey. I loved the face that I saw in the moon. I never expected the photo to come out well, but since it did, I decided to make an oil painting on canvas of it.
It gives me peace to look at it again. This is the companion piece in a series. The other piece is called
"Moon Face II" and is a full seascape. Enjoy!

Museum quality archival prints are available.

Profile Nice picture, too bad it is so small here, and it's hard to see the details. But from what i can see i like colors and shades. Moon are looking very lovely in that corner, good job.
Profile This piece is so spare, it comes across at first as a photograph rather than an oil painting. I love the deep blue, the orange tint of the moon, and the implied moonlight on the bridge. Very nice.
