Seller Comments...
Picking blackberries is a wonderful childhood memory of mine. To come upon an unexpected berry patch, you felt as though you had just found a wonderful treasure. The 4th of July is normally just about perfect for blackberry picking. Another childhood memory isn't quite as fond - snakes seem to love the same terrain as blackberry briars. You always had to watch where you put your hand and your toes.

The old house in this landscape is representative of many mountain homes in the Appalachian mountains and surrounding rural areas. So many people associate cabins with the mountains and perhaps that is still the norm for vacation retreats today. However, though there are still a very few cabins used as primary residences, most mountain and rural homes are more modern that the one shown here. The board and batten siding is reminiscent of the 30's and 40's era with the scene, itself, one that you could easily find today.
