I think you're doing an excellent job of portraying the people behind the people. I can see in these portraits the modern day person, but can also believe they are the role they are playing, while at the same time see how they personally relate to that role.

Yes, I understand. It is impossible to render a representational work for someone born in the 1700's. My work in this series reflects the real people, "the actors", that are presented in my series.
