I have always loved working in colours, but in recent times I have become equally concerned with pure forms. With regard to 'holding back' - that's not in my nature, I am glad to say!
btw - I have worked on the 'Boston Harbor Nocturn' piece and resubmitted the results to the CC - the second version represents a compromise between your advice and how it worked best to me on implementing your suggested revisions.
