Is this an original design?
Through my art history studies I believe I have seen this portrait before? I could be wrong and have seen this portrait in a publication!Any way this is a strong dramatic composition.

one can read a whole book in those eyes, and the fine

As youknow I like the 'period' feel of some of your work Michael.
And I also appreciate the way your works can tell stories. To me this is the face filled with anticipation and, perhaps, fear! It could be a wife expencantly waiting her husband's return from war, or
 Lastest-- For me too art 'works' best when it establisheds an intimate connectiion between the image and the viewer and the best portraits exemplify this. My own works are also intended to evoke a reaction base
