This piece has the feel of a medieval and yet at the same time modern piece. The 'heraldic beasts' in the foreground contrast superbly with the truely bizarre Life tree' at the centre of the composition. The shadows are also superb. It is reminiscent of a a scene from The Devil Ride's Out! or Ghormenghast (spelling - by Mervin Peake)Wonderful! David B David_Baker
