Artist: John Vignari

John Vignaris is a noted international world class artist, educator, author, instructor and lecturer.
He is one of the most prolific professional artist of our time. Born in New York City where he began his art career, his early works reflect his fascination with the sea. Mr. Vignari is a versatile artist, his art career progressed from marine painting to impressionism, abstract expressionism and currently to Vignari-ism a unique art form that he calls "Freedom Flow".
He began his own search for a new horizon and freedom. Characteristic of his sicilian temperament, he boldly eliminated the use of brushes, easel, painting knives and other materials normally used. This resulted in his current innovative and original work, Freedom Flow. The powerful rhythm for his abstract painting, he believes, was acquired from his years of sea paintings.

He worked on the Brooklyn and New York waterfront as a longshoreman for seven years before becoming an artist. A veteran, he was in the National Guard and served in the Armed Forces.

Vignari is a professional member of the International Society of Marine Painters.
