Artist: Roque Anderson

I'm not too much into "artist" statements. The two most abused words in language are "love" and "art". One day we pledge eternal love to a partner and the next, tell our neighbor how much we "love" our new chainsaw. We genuflect before a Rodin, then go home the read "The Art of Live Bait Fishing". Diebenkorn once told an interviewer he considered himself a Painter. It was for others to decide if he was an Artist.
I won a third place award in an open competition sponsored by an Outdoor Advertising company. I was nine years old. I never looked back. The next fifty years included scenic design for stage, film, TV, ballet. Creative Direction for print, radio and TV commercials. Film, stage and video direction. Music production. Ghost writing. Creative Consulting. And, Tournament Bass Fishing. With some kind of award in virtually category. You get the idea.
