Artist: Kimberly Dickinson

Born and raised in the colorful and exotic city of Miami, I have always been drawn to the drama and purity of abstract imagery. My paintings are an expression of this, a study in abstraction with a focus on the dynamic relationship between color and form.
Past exhibitions include a group show at Marziart Internationale Gallery in Hamburg and private exhibitions in South Florida, including a co-exhibition at the Hollywood Playhouse with my husband, British artist Jake Austin.
As a photographer I prefer landscape photography though I'm interested in trying out all kinds of shots, now and in the future. At present I am enjoying experimenting with B&W infrared (with a Nikon Coolpix 8400 camera which has been modified to take only infrared shots) and HDR tonemapping techniques (using a single jpg and then creating both a -1 and a +1 exposure shot with my ACDSee photo editing software then merging the three using Photomatix).
We live in very hard times and often the world can seem ugly and harsh. My goal as a photographer is to share and celebrate the divine beauty and magic in this world.
