Mahlon Dickerson Manson III
Mission Statement
The origin of the word Art is handwork. Using a tool, this is anything that is an extension of the hand, does not nullify my work as art. My tool of choice is a digital stylus. What makes a work of art is the vision one has in creating something that stimulates the mind and /or the senses. Great Art always has agon (conflict) such as dark and light, soft and hard textures, conflicting colors (red and green). Whether it is of flesh one would love to touch, a scene one would love to enter, a flower one would love to examine, smell or touch they are all delights to our mind as well as to our aesthetic being.
Art is meant to stimulate our senses, whether it is the smooth firm flesh of the nude or the color, form and scent of the flower, the space of the landscape, or the serenity of the still life.
My wish is that you will enjoy the owning and appreciation of my artworks, as much as I have enjoyed creating them.
All work is copyrighted by the artist.
