Artist: Luigi Galligani

Luigi Galligani was born in Pistoia in 1957. He lives and works in Castellina in chianti (Siena- Tuscany). He attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence and graduated at the Academy of Fine arts in Carrara with a thesis about Marino Marini.
1985 his works are shown at the Ken's Art Gallery by Walter Bellini in Florence.
1992 he gave some lessons and a lecture at the Orange Coast College of Los Angeles. in 1993 the Accademia delle Arti del Disegno in Florence appointed him Academician of the Sculpture Side.
1996 the Accademia dei Georgofili in Florence chose a bas-relief of Galligani for one of its halls at the end of restoration after the bomb of 1993.
2001 summer personal exhibition at the XXII Festival "La Versiliana" with critic texts by Antonio Paolucci and Romano Battaglia.
2002 summer exhibition at Capri with the collaboration of Capricorno Gallery by Antonina Zaru.
2003 personal exhibition "Mediterraneo" at the Accademia delle Arti del Disegno in Florence.
