About the Artist - Robert Gaudreau
As a self taught emerging painter surfacing into the fine art world in 2005, offering a diverse
high standard portfolio arsenal of work, generated from the past Ten years.
Focusing on an experimental approach applied to the expressionism in painting,
an Introduction to a work ethic Robert has established and refers to as “Impulse” Expressionism
which varies between the impulse figurative, impulse abstract, and impulse surreal expression.
An intent and purpose to present an instant recognition with certain understanding
for the art viewed by anyone.
Stunning, captivating, beautiful, elating, provocative, compelling, interesting are just some of the words from the Art world that describe Gaudreau’s original approach to his art.
An intention of harnessing, then producing an impulse, then turning this impulse into art, carrying the core impulse, the whole time during the process.
Robert’s inspirations come from all sources driven to it’s cause . Robert’s interests and studies derive from dance, the human figures beauty and agility, to people and our behaviors. Architecture, form and coloration
Robert’s work has not gone unnoticed.
The Biennale Internazionale Dell’Arte Contemporanea in Florence Italy
has invited Robert to participate in the 2007 Biennale Exhibition Dec. 1st - 9th 2007.
Robert is currently working, and led on the path in creating and completing an important conceptual series of 30+ paintings Titled: ©“Something About Books”.

Robert began his career as a signwriter/painter entrepreneur in 1982.
Robert began painting seriously for himself, with the intent and purpose of painting from the impulse expressionism theory in 1996.
