I always work in oil and prefer to paint landscape related motifs. But, what I choose to paint depends of the subject, i.e. if it is interesting enough. I do not paint things, which is up to the observer to interpret. The painting must show something that look as similar as possible to subjects in real life ("realism" I believe the genre is called). That is the challenge for me.
