For my last exhibition I did some Giclees on canvas, since the original painting was going to be on the show I knew that people would compare the giclees with the original and I was not happy with the colors of the giclees. I spent a lot of time painting in each one of them with oils to make them look closer to the original. I loved the final result because they now look like originals and I suppose in a way they are because I painted on them.
I was told that they are not giclees anymore; they are now considered mix technique...Does anyone knows if that right? Should I call them painted giclees? Or maybe as giclee with oils on canvas?
