"As the title suggests, this piece tries to convey a perfect combination of sexual allure with vulnerability and shyness. Reminiscent of iconic imagery from the 20th Century such as the now famous photograph of Christine Keeler by Lewis Morley. The whole piece has been painted in black and white oils with a silver background (applied here with silver acrylic spray paint) to capture the classic monochrome look of black & white photography. I've purposely cropped the image with a black band at the top and bottom which gives wide cinematic feel. The audacious use of these bold stripes also helps establish a depth of field. The viewer can't help but be drawn into her space. Having little but a chair to conceal her modesty, the overall piece is given a timeless quality."

DREW DARCY
I can remember drawing from an early age, and was first introduced to oil painting at Stonyhurst College, Lancashire. Music, fashion, modern design, film, photography, advertising, and my ever-changing moods are some of the many subjects that can spark off my creative process. I admire many artists like Gerhard Richter, Francis Bacon, and Edward Hopper to name but a few. I like to take in artistic flavours from my favourite artists, absorb them and throw them all back in to the mix to make my own distinctive style.
