This piece is a reproduction of an ancient shield that was recovered in Wales. It is more raised in pattern than the original fifth century piece but I wanted to put my own touch to it. It symbolizes the sun and the relationship of the sun to the earth. This piece is made on heavy masonite and plaster with primer and paint, also I used gold leaf on parts to really make it pop. I put a cedar frame on it and the frame is big and chunky. Like back in the day of knights and swords, very heavy duty! This piece is very special to me. I will pay insurance and shipping. thank you
