Zita Mockeviciene (1953) Lithuanian painter, decorative leather designer and ceramicist. She paints varied subjects, including portraits, landscapes, abstracts for interiors but especially is popular with her still - lifes with flowers which are immensely admired. Extremely prolific as a painter, buoyant and cheerful personality. Her personal philsophy of art she expresses in poetry. 1972 - 76 studied decorative leather design at art college in Kaunas. Worked in Ciurlionis art museum. Designed, got ready for printing and published catalogues, booklets, posters. Later studied at Tallin Art Academy (Estonia) and 1982 - 87 at Vilnius Art Academy. Got up a large amount of books, albums handsomely with leather. Restored damaged paintings and interior in churches. Worked as a teacher in an art school with children. Has held 7 solo exibitions. Her works are in many private collections throughout the world. Lives and works in Kaunas.
