A few years ago Tom Strala stired up the design community. His TMS lights unite consequent architecture with artful sensuality. In same spirit his recent object presents itself: a table, eluding fashion and movements, an everyday object with that special something. „The table is constructed from a 22,5m long wooden piece which in itself is no quality. Still this clarity has something beautiful, since the sententiousness of the final shape includes the simplicity, and does not negate it.“ says Strala about the object Ponte. The base frame consists of massive oak wood elements, a composition in framework style. It is mounted with only 6 screws. Its table top is made of clear glass. The tables are available in 2 lengths and are produced in small series.
