Gourd art using a Pyrography (woodburning) pen. The design was first burned on, then colored using a combination of artist's oil pencils, watercolor pencils, and fabric dyes. This is a Kettle gourd from The Welburn Gourd Farm, in Fallbrook, California. The gourd is finished with polyurethane to protect the finish.
