There is some type of interaction between the two. Perhaps the grasshopper is trying to convince the owl not to eat him by snitching on the where-abouts of a mouse nest. (But he is after all - a wise old owl!)My guess is he will find out where the mouse nest is, eat the grasshopper as an appetizer and find the mice for a main course.
