"Jesus Loves Me" is a celebration of the traditional song "Jesus Loves Me." These three siblings, grandchildren of Kathy's friend from church, individually represent a word from the verse. The oldest child pointing to her palm is demonstrating the sign language for "Jesus." The boy, hugging his upside-down music and singing at the top of his lungs, is sharing the universal language for "Loves." Approaching the two, much too young to read yet old enough to understand, is the baby pointing at her heart and using her limited vocabulary to repeat "Me."
Kathy's prayer is that this painting will be an outreach for the viewer to join in. For as the chorus says... Yes! Jesus Loves You TOO.
