Mom and her baby moose admiring the sunset at supper time in the tall wet grass, Lower Sabao Lake, Maine. I visit with this particular family as often as I am able and when I can find them. Moose can be elusive, especially in the fall during hunting season. The moose seem to know when the hunters are out and about. this pair were not too spooked by my presence, maybe because they are used to me stalking them with a camera rather than a gun. Who knows what moose think. The original artwork was done in oil based color pencils. All materials used are archival in nature and designed to produce long lasting rich color.
