"Angels of the Universe."
This 20"+24" Poster is number two of a series "Fire Pond Dragons" Limited Edition Poster. The originals are created with the mythology of the Universal Dragons in mind. The dragons emote LOVE, Wealth, Health, Happiness, Passion, LUCK and Success in Business. The owner will experience these things upon contemplation. Each poster is Archival photographic reproduction of a mixed media ( watercolor, acrylic, Dr. Martin dye inks, transparent colored inks) painted on linen. The Gielee prints are high resolution reproductions on Archival Paper, with Archival Inks and UV protection.
Oriental Dragons are referred to as the divine mythical creature that brings with it ultimate abundance, prosperity and good fortune. They occupy a very important position in Chinese mythology. They show up in arts, literature, poetry, architecture, songs, and many aspects of the Chinese conscience.
The origin of Chinese dragons is unknown, but certainly pre-dates written history.
The Dragons I paint are created in the spirit of Health, Wealth, and Joy. I believe that these paintings are inspired by spirits guides (Angels) with the intent to stimulate good fortune in all that view them. The more time you spend in the presence of these images, the more happy and serene you feel.
The Celestial Chinese Dragon is comparable as the symbol of the Chinese race itself. Chinese around the world, proudly proclaim themselves "Lung Tik Chuan Ren" (Descendents of the Dragon). As the emblem of the Emperor and the Imperial command, the legend of the Chinese Dragon permeates the ancient Chinese civilization and shaped their culture until today. Its benevolence signifies greatness, goodness and blessings.
The Chinese Dragon, or Lung, symbolizes power and excellence, valiancy and boldness, heroism and perseverance, nobility and divinity. A dragon overcomes obstacles until success is his. He is energetic, decisive, optimistic, intelligent and ambitious.
Dragons are so wise that they have been royal advisors. A thirteenth-century Cambodian king spent his nights in a golden tower, where he consulted with the real ruler of the land a nine-headed dragon. Eastern Dragons are vain, even though they are wise. They are insulted when a ruler doesn't follow their advice, or when people don't honor their importance. They bring upon the essence of life, in the form of its celestial breath, known to many as sheng chi. He yields life and bestows its power in the form of the
